Save and export your image

You can save your works or export your image in some format when you need.

Save your image

To save your image, please choose the File > Save menu in the top menu bar.
If your image is opened from some file or you have saved it before, your image will be saved directly. Or a save panel will pop up and you will be asked to choose a file name, a directory and a format to save your image.

Export your image

To export your image, please choose the File > Export... or Save As... menu in the top menu bar. A save panel will pop up. You will be asked to choose a file name, a directory and a format to save your image.

Image formats

This app supports the following formats:

• Paint Document
• PNG
• JPEG
• TIFF
• BMP
• WebP
• PDF
• GIF

They are divided into two categories:

• Paint Document.
  This format is the default format of this app. It is a file format that can be opened by this app but can't be opened by other apps. This format can save all your objects and layers so that you can re-edit them after closing and re-opening your document. It is recommended to use this format before sending your image to others or using it in other apps and websites.

• Common image formats, such as PNG, JPEG, TIFF, BMP, WebP, PDF, GIF.
  These formats are common image formats that can be opened by other apps and websites. It is recommended to use these format when you want to send your image to others or use it in other apps and websites.

Tips

The JPEG and BMP format can't save the alpha channel of your image. The transparent part of your image will be converted to white when you save your image in these two formats. So if you want to save your image with transparent background, you should choose other formats.
