Settings

Choose Paint S > Settings… from the menu bar to open the Settings window.

The Settings window includes the following options:

• Canvas Grid: Configure the grid spacing and color.

  Tips

  To show or hide the grid, choose View > Show Canvas Grid.

  If the grid spacing is too small, it may not display. Zoom in to see the grid.

• Automatically select Move tool after adding objects: When enabled, the app switches to the Move tool immediately after you draw a new shape or object. (Recommended)

• Snap automatically when moving and resizing objects: When enabled, objects will snap to the canvas edges and other objects for precise alignment.

  Tips

  You can temporarily toggle snapping behavior by holding down the Option (⌥) key while moving or resizing an object.

• Do not show action tips: Disables the brief on-screen notifications that appear when you perform actions like Undo or Redo.

• Zoom canvas to fit when opening large images: Automatically scales large images to fit within your screen when opened.

• Autosave documents: Automatically saves your progress to prevent data loss.

  Tips

  This feature requires the full-featured version.

  Important

  You must restart the app for changes to this setting to take effect.

• Experimental Features: Enables new, beta features. (Recommended)

• Cursor of Tools:: Choose your preferred cursor style for drawing tools.

• Automatically check for updates: Checks for new versions of the app on launch.
