You can open an existing file in several ways:

  • From the Menu Bar: Choose File > Open… to browse and open a file from your Mac.
  • Open Recent: Choose File > Open Recent to quickly access recently opened files.
  • Drag and Drop: Drag an image file directly onto the app icon in the Dock.
  • From the Open Panel: Click Open Other… or double-click a recent file in the Open Panel when the app launches.

Tips

To change the number of recent items shown, adjust your macOS System Settings. See Apple Support.

Once opened, the document window will appear, ready for you to edit your image.
