Choose a Gradient
You can apply gradients to various elements in Paint S, including:
- Lines and borders

- Fills and backgrounds

- Text

The Gradient Picker
Click any gradient button in the Attributes panel to open the Gradient Picker:

The Gradient Picker includes the following controls:
- Gradient Type: Toggle between Linear and Radial gradients.
- Color Stops: The preview bar displays all colors in the current gradient. You can add, edit, or remove color stops here.
- Reverse: Click the reverse button to flip the order of the colors.
- Gradient Library: Displays built-in presets and your saved favorite gradients.
Modify a Gradient
You can customize the current gradient in several ways:
- Change Type: Switch between Linear and Radial.
- Add a Color: Click anywhere on the gradient preview bar to add a new color stop.
- Change a Color: Click an existing color stop to open the Color Picker and select a new color.
- Adjust Position: Drag a color stop left or right to change its position in the gradient.
- Remove a Color: Select a color stop and press the
Deletekey. - Reverse: Click the reverse button to flip the gradient.
- On-Canvas Controls: Adjust the angle of a linear gradient or the center of a radial gradient by dragging the control knobs directly on the canvas.
Save to Favorites
To save a custom gradient for future use, click the + button at the bottom of the Gradient Picker. It will be added to your favorites library.
Use a Preset Gradient
Click any gradient in the library at the bottom of the panel to apply it instantly.
